CREATIVE + multiCULTURE =YPF
Led by young people. For young people. In rural communities.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are a core part of everything we do
Our activities are creative, inclusive, and youth-led.
We offer a rare opportunity for young people in need of additional support: the chance to express themselves, connect socially outside of education, work collaboratively, explore creative industries and develop new artistic and technical skills.
Provide activities and real-world learning environments which enable young people to develop their knowledge, skills, capabilities and capacity, via experiential, real-world learning, and development programmes.
Increasing skills development; support for leadership, civic engagement and participation; fostering identity, purpose and belonging in the young person.
Providing a space where young people can develop their voice and establish their place in the community.
young people are involved in every aspect
monitoring our impact and making continuous improvements
PROJECTS & WORKS
MULTI CULTURE
A celebration of the many cultures of Frome with local people sharing their traditions through music, dance, craft and food .
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about local organisations that provide support to refugees.
It’s free entry but don’t forget to bring a little cash to buy some of the delicious food and trinkets on offer.
Frome is a developing town with over 60 nationalities .
The Multicultural Frome festival has become an important event in the Frome calendar.
Last year’s festival had over 800 local people of all ages and nationalities taking part and attending.
Several local schools took part in the event either by producing artwork and decorations or by performing at the event itself.
Workshops are held in schools to produce this work.
Our work is hugely important for the Equality and Diversity of our town.
It addresses positive mental health and emotional well-being of our local community and reduces isolation and loneliness.
It allows Frome residents of all nationalities to be included and celebrate their cultural heritage.

YPF use different mechanisms to ensure young people shape our activities,
and that even the least confident young people’s voices are heard.
At the heart of our co-design is a core group of 15 - 25 young people (VOLUNTEER CREW)
who meet regularly (approximately fortnightly during term time)
reflectING on activities they have taken part in, discuss what they would like to do next and how they can encourage other young people to join in.
